First stop, St Ann’s Well for a free taste of Buxton Water!
Local producers of fruit, veg, meat and fish can be found at the bi-weekly Buxton Markets (Tuesdays and Saturdays) plus artisanal producers at the special monthly food markets. There are also monthly Thursday markets in the Pavilion Gardens with stallholders bringing tastes from around the world.
Try a Derbyshire Oatcake, perhaps one with fruits and honey, at No.6 The Square Tearooms or a proper northern pie at The Manc Chef.
Take a tour and tasting at The Forest Distillery, the UK’s highest altitude distillery offering award-winning gin, whiskey and rum with a taste of the forest.
