Food & Drink Festivals
There are numerous food and drink festivals throughout the year in Buxton most of which take place on the Pavilion Gardens promenade and Buxton Markets on the market place.
Buxton Food and Drink Nights
One of the most popular events at the Pavilion Gardens: Buxton Food and Drink Nights takes place outdoors a few times during the summer, such as the night before Buxton Carnival on the promenade and indoors in the Octagon between 4pm and 11pm.
It features over thirty outdoor food and drink traders with some of the most delicious cuisines including Thai, Mexican, Paella, Barbeque and mouth-watering desserts alongside some of the finest real ales, ciders and wines to choose from, this event is one for the whole family. With a great atmosphere and delicious food & drink, join us on the promenade.
Eat in the Park
Eat in the Park is a food and music festival which takes place over a weekend in mid-August.
There will be no Eat in the Park festival in 2026.
Other Food & Drink Events
There are also monthly Thursday farmers’ markets at the Pavilion Gardens (Mar-Dec) and Buxton Market have Food & Drink Special Markets with local and regional food and drink traders on the third Saturday of the month (Mar-Dec). Food & drink stalls are present at the weekly Buxton Markets also.
Nearby Food & Drink Festivals
A traditional village festival celebrating the nearby village of Tideswell takes place in early May with over sixty stalls offering culinary delights, artisan crafts and musical entertainment.
