There are four distinct shopping areas in Buxton and you will find something to inspire you the whole year round. Discover Buxton’s oldest shopping centre, the Cavendish Arcade, within the historic thermal baths. Filled with a fantastic array of local independent stores. Including home ware, giftware, several fashion stores and food, it is a must for both visitors and locals.
The Springs Shopping Centre along our main shopping street, Spring Gardens, has with a variety of stores, ranging from Waitrose to Dorothy Perkins to WHSmith, there’s something for everyone in this popular retail destination. The centre is open seven days a week and has car parking spaces for 450 vehicles. Many independent and traditional shops line the High Street and Market Place in Higher Buxton. Find one of the counties best second-hand bookshops, a traditional butchers and music shops. Definitely worth the trip up the hill!
Finally, The Arches is an artisan market, nestled within the historic arches of Hogshaw Mill. Family and dog friendly with a quintessentially quirky collection of stalls and pop up shops. Open Thursday to Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday & Bank Holidays 10am-4pm.
