The Gallery in the Gardens
The Gallery in the Gardens is the showcase for the largest selection of locally made, high quality art and craft in the area. Featuring the work of 45 artists and craftspeople from the High Peak Artists group, the Gallery is situated within the beautiful 23 acre Pavilion Gardens complex, in the main building adjacent to the Tourist Information desk.
Affordable, original work on display includes paintings, ceramics, jewellery, photography, textiles, turned wood, glass, embroidery, calligraphy, linocuts, etchings and a large selection of prints. Members include many award-winning artists such as Eric Wilson, Howard Levitt, Jill Kerr, Catriona Hall and Louise Jannetta. The gallery is staffed by the artists who are always happy to offer help and advice.
The Art Cafe is a separate dedicated exhibition space with a changing programme of displays by individuals or groups of members. It is situated above the Pavilion Gardens restaurant.
The gallery is open to the public every day from February to Christmas Eve. Opening hours vary according to the season so check our website for details.
