Nestled in the stunning Macclesfield Forest, Forest Distillery is proud to be the UK’s highest altitude distillery, producing award-winning spirits that reflect the natural beauty of our surroundings. As a family-owned and operated business, we handcraft our gin and whisky using wild ingredients foraged locally, including those found right here in the Peak District.
Our team is passionate about sustainability, tradition, and delivering an authentic, high-quality product. Every bottle is distilled in small batches with care and attention to detail, ensuring that our craft spirits capture the essence of the forest. We use a blend of age-old techniques and innovative processes to create something truly special.

Tours & Regular Events
Taste of the Forest (1hr) – Wednesdays to Fridays at 1pm
Cocktail Night (3.5hrs) – last Friday of the month from 6pm
Gin Tours (1.5hrs) – Saturdays & Sundays at 12noon
Whiskey Tours (1.5hrs) – Saturdays & Sundays at 3pm
Accessibility
Two disabled parking bays near the entrance.
Wheelchair access via side door (advanced notice required).
Tours of the distillery involve steps, narrow staircases, outdoor areas.
Accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
