Group Dining
There are various venues which can host large groups for a seated meal. Many restaurants can host small groups, the hotels in the town offer ample space for medium-sized groups but its two of the town’s domes – the magnificent Devonshire Dome and recently restored Octagon Hall at the Pavilion Gardens – which offer the most space for large groups. Please book ahead!
Baileys Bar & Restaurant can host up to 50 people in their upstairs space.
The Old Hall Hotel can cater for up to 90 guests in its restaurant with smaller parties of up to ~20 in the Talbot and Cavendish function rooms.
The Vault can host up to 100 people for a sit-down meal.
The Buxton Crescent Hotel has seven function rooms and can cater for up to 120 guests in the Assembly Rooms.
The Palace Hotel can cater for over 160 guests in its restaurant and the High Peak function suite can accommodate 300 for a sit-down meal.
The Pavilion Gardens Octagon Hall can cater for up to 450 people for a seated meal.
The Devonshire Dome can cater for up to 700 people seated under the Dome, a truly wonderful setting. ***The Dome is currently closed to external events.***
Function rooms and group dining is also available at The Premier Inn, Lee Wood Hotel, the Old Clubhouse, Cavendish Golf Club and the Railway Inn.
