Old Hall Hotel

The historic Old Hall Hotel, just across from the Pavilion Gardens and the Opera House, is the oldest hotel in England. Part of the current building was built by Bess of Hardwick’s 4th husband, the Earl of Shrewsbury, for Mary Queen of Scots when she came to take the waters in Buxton.

Relax, unwind and enjoy our fine hospitality in our restaurant & wine bar, lounges or theatre bar. Join us for pre- or post-theatre dinner,  morning coffee or afternoon tea.
