Buxton Flowerpot Trail

An annual town trail during Buxton’s summer festivals and school holidays featuring wonderful and rather silly flowerpot creations.

A great way to explore the town with the family.

Trail maps can be purchased from the Buxton Visitor Centre in the Pump Room and Poole’s Cavern Visitor Centre during July and August or downloaded from the Funny Wonders website.

More about the Trail

The Buxton Flowerpot Trail began to support the Buxton Town Team’s renewal of the Buxton in Bloom competition in 2015. The competition featured a ‘Best Flowerpot Person’ category so Town Team volunteers, supported by community arts group Funny Wonders, ran making workshops to encourage residents to make flowerpot people to be entered into the competition. In 2017, the creations were brought together in a trail map. Growing year-on-year, since 2019, the flowerpot trail project is run by Funny Wonders who deliver making workshops and produce the map.
