Welcome to 23 acres of restored pleasure gardens

The Pavilion Gardens

St. John's Road

Buxton

SK17 6BE

The Pavilion Gardens is a wonderful historic venue situated in the heart of Buxton and represents a significant part of the Victorian splendour of Buxton. The main building is a natural base for tourists coming to the town and The Pavilion Gift Boutique incorporates the Tourist Information Centre, a unique gift shop and The Gallery in the Gardens, home of the High Peak Artists and Craft Workers' Association.

As well as extensive conference and exhibition facilities, a restaurant, café and Buxton Swimming and Fitness Centre, there are over 23 acres of gardens established in 1871 by Edward Milner, pupil of Sir Joseph Paxton, including lakes, flower beds and  shaded walks. And for the young at heart, there is an extensive children's play-park, adventure playground, outdoor gym equipment and miniature railway.  Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton's newest theatre, can be reached through the Pavilion Gardens.
