What is Entente Florale?
 The Entente Florale Association is an international non-profit association which aims through social and cultural development to enhance Horticulture, Tourism and Environment and encourage actions that foster a better quality of life for urban dwellers.
Through this annual competition, public authorities, private bodies and individuals are encouraged to cooperate in beautifying their towns and villages thereby improving the quality of life for both inhabitants and visitors.
How is Buxton involved and how can you help?
Because of our success in both the East Midlands and National Bloom events in recent years.
These competitions are not just about pretty flowers. Most of the marks are awarded for environmental projects devised and executed by local community groups and schools
During the summer of 2009, 12 jury members will descend on Buxton to spend 6 hours in the town assessing our best features. They will want to see that Buxton is a good place to live, work and play.
