For the best mountain biking in Britain!

Welcome to the Peak District – ‘the outdoor capital of England’. We’ve got literally hundreds of miles of mountain bike trails just waiting to be discovered with Buxton positioned firmly at its hub.

Buxton is the perfect base for mountain Biking and cycling in the Peak District, the Hope Valley, Castleton around the Goyt Valley, Roman Lakes near Marple, trails across Kinder and Glossop, or Hayfield.

Much of the family friendly cycling takes place along the trails which follow the tracks of former local railways. Routes such as the Tissington Trail and High Peak Trail. Both start only a few miles to the south of Buxton at Parsley Hay (opposite the junction of the Youlgreave road with the A515), and offer excellent traffic-free cross-country routes which pass close to many pretty villages.

Sumptuous single track to colourful cross country, heart pounding hill climbs and devilish descents. And if you’re in Buxton, its all right on your doorstep!

Check out some of these biking routes and see for yourself
