| The Lee Wood Hotel |
|
Set in its own mature gardens this elegant Georgian period hotel is situated only a few moments walk from the centre of the spa town of Buxton and its internationally acclaimed Opera House. The Best Western Lee Wood Hotel was originally built in 1830 by the then Duke of Devonshire as three houses. It was transformed into an hotel in 1860 when the railways arrived in Buxton and the town was beginning to prosper as a Victorian spa town where the great and the good would come to enjoy the therapeutic properties of its thermal spring waters.
We are delighted to extend a very warm welcome to you when you come and stay with us at our hotel. There is always something positively unique about hotels that are privately owned and managed.
