Set in its own mature gardens this elegant Georgian period hotel is situated only a few moments walk from the centre of the spa town of Buxton and its internationally acclaimed Opera House.
The Best Western Lee Wood Hotel was originally built in 1830 by the then Duke of Devonshire as three houses. It was transformed into an hotel in 1860 when the railways arrived in Buxton and the town was beginning to prosper as a Victorian spa town where the great and the good would come to enjoy the therapeutic properties of its thermal spring waters.

A magnificent Victorian building, The Palace Hotel has dominated the beautiful spa town of Buxton since 1868 and is now one of the most prestigious conference, banqueting and leisure venues in the region. The hotel sits at the heart of the Peak District National Park, yet it's close to the M6 and A6 and less than 100 metres from the railway station, making it easily accessible from Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham and Stoke-on-Trent.
The hotel is set in stunning grounds ideal for team building, wedding photographs or relaxing with a drink on a leisure break. The hotel offers a choice of nine meeting rooms, the largest being the exquisite High Peak Ballroom which seats up to 300 delegates for a conference, banquet or wedding. The hotel also offers smaller, more intimate space, for family dinners or board meetings. The hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies so couples can hold their ceremony and reception here at the hotel. Wedding packages start from £1795.00.
There are 122 bedrooms within the hotel as well as a health club with a swimming pool and gym and beauty rooms. Treat yourself to a spa day or an overnight spa package. There is free wi-fi throughout the hotel and a large, on-site car park.
